11:26PM - First lava in my life :: Volcano Pacaya :: Antigua, Guatemala

Lava. it is one of the best things i've seen in my life and definitely the best one i've seen on this trip. One should see it to understand. It was like magic, all of us were hypnotized.
it's amazing how there're some things that people who speak different languages, who belong to different countries and cultures - understand. The moment we saw it live we all thought: "Holy god! this is incredible! indescribable. gorgeous.powerful". you could see how lava was slowly moving pieces of cold lava stones...

11:58PM - Nicaragua, Playa Gigante. Jul22-30

the end of july I spent in a beautiful fishing village learning how to surf, doing yoga, swimming and enjoying life with some surf friends. Surfers are hardcore.

2:11AM - July. San Blas. Panama.

Visiting indigenous tribes at Kuna islands. There were just 30 people in total on this one (15 indigenous and 15 - travellers). It was a paradise - with transparent water, coral reefs, terrific snorkeling, coconut palms and a bunch of travellers' story telling.

p.s. sorry, have to write in English so that my English speaking friends could understand.

12:44PM - Dance Like Nobody Is Watching

"We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are. After that we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice vacation, when we retire.



The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when?



Your life will always be filled with challenges. It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. Alfred D Souza said, "For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life."



This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have. And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time ... and remember that time waits for no one...



So stop waiting until you finish school, until you go back to school, until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until fall, until winter, until you are off welfare, until the first or fifteenth, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink, until you've sobered up, until you die, until you are born again to decide that there is no better time than right now to be happy...

Happiness is a journey, not a destination."

2:32AM - вчера прилетела из Чикаго в Нью Йорк

сегодня вечером совершенно случайно часов в 11 решила пойти с друзьями в бар, потанцевать под забойную
цыганско-джазовую группу. Сначала танцевали только мы, позже подтянулся еще кое-какой народ и тут - я вижу Оксану Павлову... Это было почти как встретить Леру на свинг-вечеринке в Шанхае. Мир тесен!

Итого: 2 часа ночи, Ксю, я и еще несколько нью-йоркских свингдэнсеров сидим в украинском ресторане в Манхэттэне и пытаемся отыскать в меню аутентичную украинскую еду.

5:43PM - забавно

сегодня наткнулась на портфолио одного болгарского дизайнера.
Читаю - "уеб дизайнер", не сразу поняла, что вэб дизанер - из Болгарии.


"Здравейте, аз съм Иво и се занимавам с уеб дизайн. Това е личният ми блог и портфолио."

4:55PM - Эмили и Дакс ALHC 2001

как-то меня Эмили Хоффберг никогда особо не вдохновляла... пока я не наткнулась на нее в "молодости" (+ Дакс).
супер. офигенная музыкальность.

8:29PM - что значит "владеть своим телом" (хип-хоп, локинг, попинг и т.п.)

11:09AM - вчера познакомилась с Джереми Саттоном -

местным линди хоппером и потрясающим художником. Вот так, танцуешь и понятия не имеешь :)
